What we can do for you, stated plainly.

Every guest deserves a straight answer before they book. This page says what our vehicles and chauffeurs can do, and what they cannot.

A chauffeur assisting a guest from the fully electric Mercedes-Benz eVito at a Hawke's Bay property

Electric Executive assists guests with limited mobility on every service. A folding wheelchair, walking frame, rollator or cane travels with you at no extra charge. Our vehicles are not certified Total Mobility vehicles, so we cannot carry a passenger who remains seated in a wheelchair. Tell us what you need when you book and we will tell you plainly what we can do.

We would rather answer this honestly before you book than leave you to discover it at the kerb. If we cannot do what you need, we will say so, and we will help you find an operator who can.

Write to info@elecexec.co.nz, phone +64 6 211 2600, or message us on WhatsApp. Every booking confirmation names your chauffeur and the vehicle, so you know who is coming.

Tell us what you need

Getting in and out

  • Your chauffeur offers an arm, takes your bags, and never rushes the transfer from door to seat
  • The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has a powered automatic mobility assistance step and doorway grab handles, fitted in June 2026, and wide upright seats with full armrests and lumbar support
  • The Mercedes-Benz eVito has a low entry step and sliding doors on both sides, so you can board from the kerb side wherever we stop
  • The BYD Atto 3 has no driveshaft tunnel, so the rear floor is flat and the footwell is unusually open
  • We can park closer than a coach, and at most wineries we drop you at the door and park afterwards

What we cannot do

  • We cannot carry a passenger who remains seated in a wheelchair. Our vehicles are not certified Total Mobility vehicles and we will not pretend otherwise
  • We cannot lift a guest. Our chauffeurs assist and steady, and they are not trained or insured to take a guest's weight
  • We cannot provide personal or medical care. A support person travels with you at no additional charge in the same vehicle

If a seated wheelchair is required, tell us anyway. We know the Hawke's Bay operators who are certified for it, and we would rather point you to the right vehicle than take a booking we cannot serve properly.

Hearing, sight and communication

Our chauffeurs are trained in adaptive communication and consent-based assistance. In practice that means we ask before we help, we describe what we are about to do, and we adjust how we talk to suit you.

Tell us if you would rather have your pickup details confirmed by text or email than by phone, if you need your chauffeur to speak facing you, or if you would like the commentary on a tour kept short. None of this is unusual and none of it costs anything.

Pace, health and comfort

We regularly host cruise ship guests and older travellers with a range of mobility and health considerations, and we adapt the pace and the format of the day to suit. On a tour that can mean fewer stops, longer at each one, a seated tasting instead of a walk through the vines, or a return to your accommodation partway through the day.

Every vehicle carries chilled glass-bottled water, and the cabin temperature is yours to set. Tell us about anything that matters, such as a need to stay out of the sun, to avoid strong scents, or to keep a medication cool, and we will plan for it.

Questions

Accessibility questions, answered.

Can you carry a passenger who stays seated in a wheelchair?

No. Our vehicles are not certified Total Mobility vehicles, so a passenger must transfer into a vehicle seat. A folding wheelchair travels with you. If a seated wheelchair is required, tell us and we will point you to a certified Hawke's Bay operator.

Can I bring a folding wheelchair, walking frame or rollator?

Yes, on any service, at no extra charge. Your chauffeur stows it and returns it to you at every stop.

Which vehicle is easiest to get in and out of?

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which has a powered automatic mobility assistance step and doorway grab handles fitted in June 2026, and wide upright seats with armrests. The fully electric Mercedes-Benz eVito has a low entry step and sliding doors on both sides.

Will my chauffeur help me in and out of the vehicle?

Yes. Boarding and alighting assistance is part of every service, and we never rush it. Our chauffeurs assist and steady rather than lift, because they are not trained or insured to take a guest's weight.

Can a support person travel with me?

Yes, in the same vehicle, at no additional charge on transfers and hourly hire, which are priced per vehicle rather than per person. On hosted tours, which are priced per person, tell us at the time of booking and we will quote the day fairly.

Can you adapt a wine tour to a slower pace?

Yes. Fewer stops, longer at each one, seated tastings instead of a walk through the vineyard, or an early return to your accommodation. Tell us at the time of booking and we build the day around it.

How do I tell you what I need?

Email info@elecexec.co.nz, phone +64 6 211 2600, or message us on WhatsApp at +64 21 025 87832. There is a notes field on every enquiry form. We confirm in writing what we have arranged before the day.
