How much does a private chauffeur cost in Hawke's Bay?
Every public price for our private transfers, weddings and hosted tours, on one page. Transfers and weddings are priced per vehicle, hosted tours per person. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
A private transfer gives you a named vehicle class held exclusively for your party, a personal greeting at the arrival gate, and a chauffeur for as long as you need, from $240 NZD per hour with a two hour minimum, or at a fixed fare by route. A hosted arrival to a Napier hotel costs $300 NZD per vehicle, for up to 7 guests with luggage in a seven-seat Mercedes-Benz eVito or V-Class. One to three guests travelling light can take our electric executive taxi, in a BYD Atto 3 or Tesla Model Y, at a lower fixed fare.
All transfer prices are per vehicle, not per guest. Hosted tours are priced per person, from $225 NZD. Our separate corporate airport taxi service, for business travellers moving between Hawke's Bay Airport and a workplace or hotel, is priced and booked on the executive taxi page.
Executive taxis, business travel
Our executive taxi is a separate, functional service for business travellers: a pre-booked, fixed-fare journey between Hawke's Bay Airport and a workplace or hotel, for up to 3 passengers and 2 cases, in a small electric car. It carries no hosted arrival and will not take a party's full luggage, so arriving visitors travel by private transfer instead.

Per vehicle, GST included. Arrivals include a personal greeting at the arrival gate, active flight monitoring, and a complimentary grace period of 30 minutes for domestic arrivals and 90 minutes for international arrivals. Private jet and FBO terminal arrivals add $80 NZD in the Executive Fleet, or $95 NZD in the Group Sprinter. Rosewood Cape Kidnappers sits at the end of a 35 kilometre dead-end road and carries a two hour minimum vehicle allocation in each direction.

Each-way dinner and tasting rates assume a pickup time confirmed at the time of booking. Where we hold the vehicle and chauffeur at the venue for an open-ended return, the hourly rate applies from drop-off to pickup. Long-distance fares to Taupo, Wellington, Auckland and Te Arai are per vehicle and apply from any Hawke's Bay address, including Rosewood Cape Kidnappers.
Dinner and tasting return packages
The vehicle and chauffeur stay at your disposal for up to three hours. No pickup time needed. Per vehicle, not per person.

Weddings
Weddings are priced as packages rather than by the hour, per vehicle, not per person. White ribbon dressing and bows on the seat backs are included at no charge. The same rates cover the bridal car and the guest shuttle. Wedding details and inclusions · wedding guest transport.

A booked return runs to a time we confirm with your venue. An on-call return means you call us when you are ready, inside an agreed window of up to two and a half hours. Journeys beyond 30km are quoted by route.

These loadings apply to weddings in place of the transfer surcharges below. The drop-off and return package already includes the evening loading on the late run. Per-guest figures quoted on the guest transport page are these same rates divided by the guests carried, not separate prices.
Hosted tours
Per person, GST included, for private parties of two to seven. The per-person rate falls as the group grows. The Signature and the Reserve both close with the Smith & Sheth Lieux-Dits flight, five single-vineyard wines served with a cheese platter. Tour details and itineraries.

Each hosted tour is sold as a complete day and its inclusions are fixed. For a bespoke itinerary, take private hire at $240 NZD per hour per vehicle and settle tastings and lunch directly with each venue. Infants aged 0 to 4 travel free. Children aged 5 to 12 receive 50 percent off the per-person rate. Cruise shore excursions use the same rates.
Surcharges
Applied per private transfer. All times are New Zealand time. Weddings carry their own loadings, listed under weddings above.

Surcharges apply together where more than one is relevant. Surcharges apply to each leg by its booked pickup time. Where a later pickup or wait time carries a journey into a later band, the later band applies. Your quote names every surcharge that applies before you confirm. See our booking terms.

Which one do I need?
- Travelling on business, two or three of you with two cases, between Hawke's Bay Airport and a workplace or hotel in Napier, Hastings or Havelock North. That is an executive taxi.
- Arriving as a visitor, four or more guests, full luggage, golf clubs, a stay at Cape Kidnappers, a winery day, a dinner with an open-ended return, or anywhere beyond Hawke's Bay. That is a private transfer.
- You would like to be met at the gate by name rather than in the arrivals hall. That is a private transfer.
Deposits, cancellation and payment
Private transfers. Free cancellation up to 7 days before pickup. Between 7 days and 48 hours, 50 percent of the fare applies. Inside 48 hours, or in the event of a no-show, 100 percent applies.
Tours, charters and group bookings. Free cancellation up to 30 days before the service date. Between 30 and 14 days, 50 percent applies. Inside 14 days, 100 percent applies.
Peak season and special events, being 21 December to 6 January, Napier cruise days and event weekends: 50 percent applies from confirmation, rising to 100 percent inside 30 days.
Date and time changes are free up to 48 hours before service, subject to availability. Final pickup times, including return times, must be confirmed with us no later than 24 hours before service. A change requested inside 24 hours is treated as a late cancellation of the original booking and charged in full; we will rebook the new time at the standard fare where a vehicle is available. Delays on the day are charged as wait time. Your chauffeur waits 10 minutes past the booked pickup time at no charge. Wait time then applies at the hourly rate, $240 NZD per hour in the Executive Fleet or $276 NZD per hour in the Sprinter, billed in 15 minute increments. If you have not met your chauffeur and we cannot reach you 30 minutes after the booked pickup time, the chauffeur may stand down and the journey is charged in full as a no-show. Flight arrivals keep their published grace periods instead. Supplier costs we have already booked on your behalf, such as tastings, meals and hired vehicles, cannot come back to us, so we pass them on in full at any notice. We invoice when we confirm a booking, and payment falls due before the service date, by bank transfer or credit card. Is there a minimum booking?
For private transfers charged by the hour, two hours. Fixed-fare journeys have no minimum.
Do you charge per person?
No. Transfers and hourly hire are priced per vehicle. Hosted tours are the exception and are priced per person.
Why does an arrival cost more than a departure?
An arrival includes a personal greeting at the arrival gate, active flight monitoring, and a grace period of 30 minutes domestic or 90 minutes international. A departure runs to a time and an address confirmed in advance.
What is the difference between an executive taxi and a private transfer?
They are separate services. The executive taxi is functional business travel: a fixed fare between the airport and a workplace or hotel, in a small electric car allocated on availability, with a 15 minute grace period and arrivals hall pickup. Fares and booking sit on the executive taxi page. The private transfer holds a named vehicle class exclusively for your party, meets you at the arrival gate with a hot towel and refreshments, carries the longer grace period and takes full luggage, and starts at $300 NZD per vehicle for an airport arrival to a Napier hotel.
Can my hotel be invoiced?
Yes. Partner hotels, travel agencies and corporate accounts can be invoiced per trip or monthly.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We monitor your flight. On private transfers, arrivals carry a grace period of 30 minutes domestic and 90 minutes international from touchdown, after which waiting is billed in 15 minute increments at the hourly rate. On executive taxis, waiting is never charged for a delayed flight.
